Lời nói của Đức Giáo Hoàng Benedict XVI gởi các Giám Mục dùng để bình phẩm các Giám Mục, Linh Mục, và Giáo Dân Việt Nam nào đã đưa Hội Thánh vào tình trạng “linh hồn mục nát”. Luận điệu này cũng chỉ trích các linh mục nào có “ý định” đảo chính chính quyền để có lý do bắt giữ các Bloggers và những ngưòi chống đối.
Hanoi (AsiaNews) – Một Thanh Niên trẻ, Học Sinh Giáo Lý, và cũng là chủ biên của một blog nhỏ trên internet đã bị bắt giữ hôm 27 tháng Tám, năm 2009. Nguồn tin địa phương cho AsiaNews hay là Công An Cộng Phỉ đang hoạch định chiến dịch mới để liên tục bắt bớ những ai dám cả gan chỉ trích các cơ quan tuyên vận của Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản về “sự tuyên truyền xuyên tạc” bài Thông Điệp của Đức Giáo Hoàng Benedict XVI gởi đến các Giám Mục Việt Nam trong cuộc viếng thăm Ad Limina mới đây (Xem Daily Bulletin Holy See Press Office 27.06.2009 đính kèm ở cuối bài viết này.)
Cha Phê Rô Nguyễn Văn Khải, vị Linh Mục Giòng Chúa Cứu Thế ở Hà Nội, đã khẳng định với AsiaNews rằng: “sự bắt giữ anh Bùi Thanh Hiếu, bạn trẻ học sinh giáo lý trong giáo phận để sửa soạn được chịu phép rửa tội. Một Bà Sơ cho biết rằng đây không phải là lần cuối cùng mà tất cả những Bloggers theo đạo Công Giáo đã chỉ trích ‘sự xuyên tạc bỉ ổi’ của các cơ quan tuyên vận của Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản về lời thông điệp của Đức Giáo Hoàng Benedict XVI gởi đến các Giám Mục ở Ad Limina. Tất cả những người đó đang ở trong tình trạng nguy hiểm và có thể bị bắt giữ bất cứ lúc nào.”
Ngày 24 tháng Tám vừ qua, Vietnam Net, tờ báo tuyên truyền của Cộng Phỉ, đã cho đăng một bài tựa đề là “A Good Catholic is a good citizen” (Người Công Giáo tốt là người công dân tốt). Bài tuyên truyền này đã trích dẫn nhiều câu nói của Đức Giáo Hoàng, và ráp nối lại để xuyên tạc rằng “Benedict XVI mạnh dạn phê bình các Giám Mục là quan tâm nhiều hơn về việc các linh mục phấn đấu thêm cho sự thánh thiện, để khả dĩ họ có thể giắt đoàn chiên đến đời sống theo như ý Đức Giáo Hoàn, để thành người Công Giáo tốt và Công Dân tốt.”
Điều này làm sáng tỏ ý đồ muốn bêu xấu các cuộc biểu tình của Công Giáo trong nhiều tháng trời, sự dấn thân hy hiến của các linh mục Việt Nam cho Công Lý và Nhân Quyền, sự phấn đấu của đồng bào bảo vệ Nhân Quyền và Tự Do Tôn Giáo. Theo lời cha Joseph Nguyễn ở Hà Nội, bài viết của cán bộ tuyên vận Cộng Phỉ tạo cho người ta cái ấn tượng rằng “Đức Giáo Hoàng Benedict XVI đã sỉ nhục Giáo Hội Công Giáo Việt Nam về sự mục nát của linh hồn.”
Bài báo này, của cán bộ tuyên vận Cộng Phỉ, cũng kết tội các Giám Mục Việt Nam. Chúng xuyên tạc câu nói khác của Đức Giáo Hoàng: “sự hợp tác giữa Giáo Hội và các đoàn thể chính trị là điều khả thi,” bài tuyên truyền kết luận sự xuyên tạc bằng luận điệu chụ mũ trắng trợn rằng “sự thật rõ rang” là các Giám Mục đã không kiên nhẫn và cởi mở để đối thoại với Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản và, hơn bao giờ hết, họ luôn luôn giữ một thái độ thù nghịch với Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản.
Trên thực tế, như mọi người đều biết rằng rất nhiều trường hợp trái ngược xảy ra trong nhiều tháng nay ở Hà Nội, Thành Hồ, Thành Phố Vinh, Thành Phố Huế, các Giám Mục luôn luôn tìm cách đối thoại với Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản, nhưng bọn Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản Việt Nam đã “đối thoại” với họ bằng sự tấn công tàn bạo của Công An Cộng Phỉ, chụp mũ kết tội và bắt bớ Giáo Dân vô căn cứ, và làm nguy hiểm đến tính mạng của nhiều Linh Mục.
Trong bài thông điệp, Đức Giáo Hoàng XVI đã nói rằng “chủ ý của Giáo Hội Công Giáo tất nhiên là không muốn lật đổ các nhà lãnh đạo trong chính quyền.” Cơ quan tuyên vận Cộng Phỉ thì lại xuyên tạc ra rằng từ lâu nay, Đức Giáo Hoàng đã biết về kế hoạch của các linh mục Công Giáo để lật đổ Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản, và chúng khuyên các Giám Mục Việt Nam hãy chỉ điểm và cô lập những phần tử nào nằm trong kế hoạch này.
Một bà Ma Sơ cho biết rằng lập tức ngày hôm sau, một tờ báo tuyên truyền khác cũng cho đăng bài báo này và kêu gọi lập tức bắt giữ và trừng phạt các linh mục ở Giáo Phận Thái Hà, Vinh, đã tìm cách trở về nhà thờ của họ, mà trước đây đã bị Phỉ Quyền cướp đi với luận điệu là “để phục vụ nhân dân” và bây giờ thì chúng lật lọng và bán đi cho tư nhân ngoại quốc với giá cao để kiếm lời.
Những mánh khóe xảo quyệt để xuyên tạc bài thông điệp của Đức Giáo Hoàng XVI đã tạo nên rất nhiều tức giận nhiều người Công Giáo ở Việt Nam, và qua các “blog” (trang nhà bỏ túi) trên internet, họ đã lên tiếng trình bày quan điểm, đả kích các cơ quan tuyên truyền Cộng Phỉ và họ cũng cho đăng tải bài thông điệp nguyên thủy của Đức Giáo Hoàng.
Rất nhiều người quan ngại rằng không biết Giáo Dân Công Giáo Việt Nam có thể nào cộng tác với một loại Phỉ Quyền bạo ngược và chuyên chế, đã và đang đẩy mạnh chính sách thổ phỉ để tàn sát tín đồ Công Giáo, kể cả chính sách về phá thai, và quốc doanh hóa gia đình.
Để đáp lại lời đối thoại của “nhân dân”, Phỉ Quyền Cộng Sản đã bắt đầu bắt giữ nhiều bloggers. Trước anh Bùi Thanh Hiếu, Công An Cộng Phỉ đã bắt giữ một blogger khác là anh Huy Đức, làm việc ở Sài Gòn Tiếp Thị (Saigon Marketing). Anh Huy đã giám cả gan biểu lộ ý tưởng cảm kích với sự sụp đổ của “Bức Tường Ô Nhục Bá Linh”, và sau đó đưa đến sự sụp đổ tập đoàn Cộng Phỉ Nga Sô, là một bọn đã tạo nên rất nhiều cảnh máu song, xương núi cho nhân dân Đông Âu.

Vietnamese regime uses Pope’s discourses to divide Church and arrest faithful

The words of Benedict XVI to the bishops used to criticize the Vietnamese bishops, priests and faithful who have sunk the Church in "spiritual corruption”. Allegations also against priests who "planned" to overthrow the regime. Arrests of bloggers and dissidents.
Hanoi (AsiaNews) - A young Catholic catechumen, author of a blog, was arrested on August 27. Local sources tell AsiaNews that the police are preparing a new series of arrests of people who dare to criticize the distorted way in which the regimes’ newspapers have presented Benedict XVI’s address to the Vietnamese bishops during their recent ad Limina visit (See Daily Bulletin Holy See Press Office 27.06.2009).
Fr. Peter Nguyen Van Khai, a Redemptorist priest from Hanoi, confirmed to AsiaNews, "the arrest of Bui Thanh Hieu, a young catechumen of the diocese, who was studying to be baptized." "His arrest - added a nun - will not be the last. Many Catholic bloggers have criticized the 'shameful distortion' with which the state media presented the speech of Pope Benedict XVI to the Ad Limina bishops. All of them risk arrest. "
On 24 August last, Vietnam Net, a state media, published an article entitled "A good Catholic is a good citizen”. The article quotes several sentences of the pope, aiming to show that "Benedict XVI strongly criticized the bishops to concern themselves more that priests strive for holiness, so they may guide their flocks to live as the Pope intends, that is as good Catholics and good citizens. "
The article quoted two sentences of Benedict XVI: "The priest must deepen his inner life and strive for holiness" and "lay Catholics must show by their life, which is based on charity, honesty and love for the common good, that a good Catholic is also a good citizen". From this they have concluded that in Vietnam priests do not deepen their spiritual life, nor tend to holiness and the laity are not charitable, honest or loving and are not even good citizens.
This is a clear attempt to stigmatise the demonstrations of Catholics in recent months, the commitment of priest to justice and human rights, the involvement of lay people who strive to defend the rights of religious freedom. According to Father Joseph Nguyen of Hanoi, the impression one draws from the article is that “Benedict XVI himself has insulted the Church in Vietnam for its spiritual corruption”.
The article also condemns the Vietnamese bishops. Taking its cue from another passage in the Pope's speech in which he states that "healthy collaboration between the Church and the political community is possible", the article concludes by claiming it is "crystal clear" that the bishops have not been patient and open to dialogues in their relationship with the government and moreover they maintain a hostile attitude to the communist power.
In fact, as has been amply shown by the many cases of friction in recent months in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh, Hue, the bishops have always sought dialogue with the government, but in response the Vietnamese police beat, criticized and arrested the faithful, and endangered the life of some priests.
In his address, Benedict XVI states that "Her [the Church] intention is certainly not to replace government leaders". The interpretation that the article gives is that the pope has long known of a plot by Catholic priests to overthrow the government, suggesting that the Vietnamese bishops identify and isolate those responsible.
One religious sister notes that the next day, the same article was published by other newspapers with calls for the immediate arrest and punishment of the priests of Thai Ha and Vinh, which has been seeking the return of Church property, confiscated some time ago for the "good of the people" and now for sale for private purposes.
The manipulation of Pope Benedict XVI’s address has created a lot of frustration among Catholics in Vietnam, who, through the blogs, have begun to voice their opinions, criticizing the media under state control and have published the original text of the papal address.
Many people wonder if it is still possible for the faithful to cooperate with such a tyrannical government, which promotes policies and injustices against the Catholic faithful, as in the case of population control and family planning.
In response, the Vietnamese government has begun arresting several bloggers. Before Bui Thanh Hieu, the police arrested the blogger Huy Duc, who worked in Saigon Tiep Thi (Saigon Marketing). Huy who had dared to show appreciation for the fall of the "wall of shame", that of Berlin, and the fall of the Soviet regime, which had produced years of misery for the peoples of Eastern Europe.

Your Eminence,
Dear Brothers in the Episcopate,
I receive you with great joy, Pastors of the Catholic Church in Vietnam. Our meeting acquires special significance during these days when the whole Church is celebrating the Solemnity of the Apostles Peter and Paul, and it is a great comfort to me for I know the deep links of fidelity and love that the faithful of your country feel for the Church and for the Pope.
You have come to the tombs of these two Princes of the Apostles to express your communion with the Successor of Peter and to reinforce the unity that must always unite you and that must continue to grow. I thank Bishop Pierre Nguyên Vãn Nhon, Bishop of Ðà Lat, for his kind words on your behalf. Allow me to greet in particular the Bishops who have been appointed since your last ad limina visit. I would also like to remember venerable Cardinal Paul Joseph Pham Ðinh Tung, Archbishop of Hanoi for many years. With you, I thank God for the pastoral zeal he exercised humbly in profound fatherly love for his people and great brotherhood for his priests. May the example of holiness, humility, simplicity of life of the outstanding Pastors of your country be for you incentives in your episcopal ministry at the service of the Vietnamese people, to whom I wish to express my high esteem.
Dear Brothers in the Episcopate, the Year for Priests began a few days ago. It will bring into the limelight the greatness and beauty of the ministry of priests. I would be grateful if you would kindly thank the diocesan and religious priests of your beloved country for their lives consecrated to the Lord and for their pastoral efforts with a view to the sanctification of the People of God. Be concerned for them and full of understanding, and help them to complete their continuing formation. If he is to be an authentic guide conformed to the Heart of God and the teaching of the Church, the priest must deepen his inner life and strive for holiness after the example of the humble Curé d'Ars. The flourishing of priestly and religious vocations, especially in the consecrated life of women, is a gift of the Lord for your Church. Let us give thanks to God for their charisms, which you encourage by respecting and promoting them.
In your Pastoral Letter last year you paid special attention to the lay faithful, highlighting the role of their vocation in the family context. It is to be hoped that every Catholic family, by teaching their children to live in accordance with an upright conscience, in loyalty and truth, may become a home of values and human virtues, a school of faith and love for God. Lay Catholics for their part must show by their life, which is based on charity, honesty and love for the common good, that a good Catholic is also a good citizen. For this reason you must ensure that they have a sound formation, by promoting their life of faith and their cultural standard so that they may serve the Church and society effectively.
I would like to entrust to you the young people in particular, especially rural youth who are attracted by the city to continue their advanced studies in it and to find jobs. It would be desirable to develop appropriate pastoral care for these young internal migrants, starting by strengthening, here too, collaboration between the young people's original dioceses and the host dioceses and by being unsparing in ethical advice and practical directives.
The Church in Vietnam is currently preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese episcopal hierarchy. This celebration which will be especially marked by the Jubilee Year 2010, will enable it to share the joy of faith enthusiastically with all the Vietnamese, in renewing their missionary commitments. On this occasion the People of God must be asked to give thanks for the gift of faith in Jesus Christ. This gift was generously received, lived and witnessed to by numerous martyrs who wished to proclaim the truth and universality of faith in God. In this regard, witness born to Christ is a supreme service that the Church can offer to Vietnam and to all the peoples of Asia, because it responds to the profound research for the truth and values that guarantee integral human development (cf. Ecclesia in Asia). In the face of the many challenges that this witness currently encounters, closer collaboration is necessary between the different dioceses and between the dioceses and religious congregations, as well as within them.
The Pastoral Letter that your Bishops' Conference published in 1980 emphasized "the Church of Christ in the midst of his People". In contributing her specific message, the proclamation of the Good News of Christ, the Church is contributing to the human and spiritual development of people, but also to the development of the country. Her participation in this process is a duty and an important contribution, especially at the time when Vietnam is gradually opening to the international community.
You know, as well as I do, that healthy collaboration between the Church and the political community is possible. In this regard, the Church invites all her members to be loyally committed to building a just, supportive and fair society. Her intention is certainly not to replace government leaders; she wishes only to be able to play a just role in the nation's life, at the service of the whole people, in a spirit of dialogue and respectful collaboration. By active participation in her own province and in accordance with her specific vocation, the Church can never be exempt from practising charity as an organized activity of believers, and on the other hand, there will never be a situation where the charity of each individual Christian is unnecessary, because in addition to justice humans need, and will always need, love (Deus Caritas Est, n. 29). Furthermore, it seems important to me to emphasize that religions do not represent a threat to the nation's unity since they aim to help individuals to sanctify themselves and through their institutions desire to put themselves generously and impartially at the service of their neighbour.
Your Eminence, dear Brothers in the Episcopate, on your return to your country, please convey the Pope's warm greeting to the priests, men and women religious, seminarians, catechists and all the faithful, especially to the poorest and to those who suffer physically and spiritually. I warmly encourage them to stay faithful to the faith received from the Apostles, whose generous witnesses they are, in conditions that are often difficult, and to show the humble firmness which the Apostolic Exhortation Ecclesia in Asia, n. 9) recognizes as one of their characteristics. May the Lord's Spirit be their guide and their strength! As I entrust you to the motherly protection of Our Lady of La Vang and to the intercession of the holy Martyrs of Vietnam, I impart to you all an affectionate Apostolic Blessing.
